HISTORIC ENVIRONMENT SCOTLAND CONFIRM THE BRUNTON HALL WILL NOT BE LISTED

​Colin Beattie MSP has said he is relieved that Historic Environment Scotland will not be listing the building.
 
Commenting Midlothian North and Musselburgh MSP said:
 
“I welcome the news that Historic Environment Scotland have decided against listing the Brunton Hall.
 
“The original proposal missed the point of what makes the Brunton so special. It’s value lies in what it offers to the community and the shared experiences inside – not its concrete exterior.
 
“Now East Lothian Council can move forward with a modern replacement fit for purpose arts centre that the community needs and deserves.”
