“The UK Governments cost-of-living crisis is continuing to impact families all over the country, and the latest Asda Income Tracker data is gravely concerning.

“Labour have failed to get to grip with the previous Tory governments economic mismanagement which is having a devastating impact on families.

“Westminster must prioritise economic growth, jobs and prosperity to deliver for the people of Scotland.

“I do not have faith that the Westminster system can bring us out of this doom loop.

COLIN BEATTIE MSP CONDEMS ISRAEL ATTACK ON QATAR

Local MSP Midlothian North and Musselburgh Colin Beattie has condemned Israel's attack on Qatar and called on the international community to press Israel to move towards a peaceful solution in Palestine.

"I am shocked and appalled at Israel's unjustifiable attack on Qatar last night. Qatar have played a key role during negotiations for peace in Palestine and the attack brings Israel's objectives into question.

"Actions like this paint Israel as a rogue state which has no boundaries. Peace feels further away than ever due to Israel's present actions.

"As the reported casualties in Gaza rise to 64,000 the international community must come together to call out Israel's behaviour and press them to move towards a peaceful solution
."
