It was an honour to attend and lay a floral tribute at the Battle of Pinkie Cleugh 474th Anniversary Ceremony this afternoon.
On this day, 10 September 1547, the last pitched battle between the Scots and the English was fought. Today was the chance to commemorate and pay our respects to over 10,000 Scots who died in battle protecting their country from invasion.
I would also like to thank the Pinkie Cleugh Battlefield Group for all their work in making this event happen.
